November Birthdays

After the Youth Service yesterday, we celebrated the birthdays of our November babies. They are Gary, Boon Hwee and Joshua Farrock.

Here's the beautiful and worth-our-money cake that we bought. Everyone was guaranteed a piece of fruit! Hehe. I think everyone's getting sick of fruit cakes. We shall go for the yummy black forest in December! :D

Our Birthday Boys - Gary (21st), Boon Hwee (15th), and Joshua Farrock (15th).

There were 3 candles, and each birthday Boy had to skillfully blow only ONE each. But Boon Hwee proved himself to be a greedy Boy, blowing all 3 out...... Hahaha.

After the birthday celebrations in church, the officers left for Park Royal Hotel at Kitchener Road for their ala carte Chinese styled buffet, to continue with the celebration of Gary's 21st birthday. We also pooled money to buy him a black skinny tie from Bossini and a birthday card. Here are the pictures:

On a side note, I went to the Night Safari with my paternal family after my examinations ended last Thursday. I'll do a proper entry, full with pictures, after Roger has uploaded them unto Facebook. :D

And on Friday, Arthur and I caught up to shop for his living room's furniture and Gary's birthday present. I met Arthur and his parents at Bukit Timah, where we had lunch, before we proceeded to Courts. His mom reminded me of mine - giving her rice to her husband, then snacking on everyone else's food... LOL! We went to town after that for more shopping and bought Gary's tie before returning to Great World City.

We had fun purchasing the prizes for his church's Bible Quiz competition. He rationalized that it's no good to buy snacks as prizes since they're unhealthy. We bought guavas, a pineapple and a papaya for individual prizes and peaches for group prizes. After that, we did the 'embarrassing act of the year' by pushing the trolley to his church and back to the supermarket, hoping that no one will snap our pictures and post them on STOMP. He bought me dinner at Subway for my invaluble help, where we were served by a friendly and humourous waiter before we left for prayer meetings at our respective churches.
