The Little Nyonya

While I was uploading the ST Recruit article Mr Chin pointed out, I took the liberty and convenience to upload some pictures of The Little Nyonya article in ST Life.

I loved the Peranakan setting, their beautiful kebayas and the oh-so-yummy Baba-Nyonya cuisine in this picture. The colours looked better on the papers though. And look who's seated at the front of the table?


That's Chen Xi and Yue Niang who challenged every definition of our mushy and over-sentimental love today. Theirs was all sacrificial and devoid of emotions, which made it rather hard to believe. I didn't like how their relationship turned out too; it was based on a lie.
