Abort or Not?

I'm thinking about the ethics of aborting children with disabilities. Advances in medical science today has allowed parents to ascertain if their child, for instance, has an extra chromosome 21 by means of prenatal tests.

On One Hand: To Not Abort
The chase for a perfect baby, and by extension, a perfect life, is unending. By allowing the abortion of handicapped babies, we are slowly descending a slippery slope. In no time, we will be aborting every child with an ugly nose or even a birth mark.

On the Other Hand: To Abort
Ya right. It is Dennis and his holier-than-thou attitude again, embracing the pro-life camp. It is easier said than done to raise a child with disabilities. The amount of resources, the emotional stamina and the family support needed are colossal. It is better for a family with limited resources to abort, than to struggle with the disabled child for life. We're talking about practicality here.

Where do we draw the line between having faith to trust in God's providence, and sheer stupidity?
