In the spirit of celebrating the last day of Chinese New Year, I attempted to make some glutinous rice balls for my family in the afternoon. I was looking at my piece of dough with a tinge of pride when my father arrived home and informed me that I was using the wrong flour and my efforts have come to naught.
Rice flour ≠ Glutinous rice flour!
Alas, it pays to wait for the father's directions.
