It didn't take long before our true colours were revealed. In fact, the ferry barely moved, and the inconsiderate amongst us occupied extra seats by resting their dirty feet on them. Some even went overboard by resting their feet on the back rest.
But of course, not all of us were bad Boys. The more intellectual ones amongst us were either in deep thought, or engaged in mind bogging battlefield tactics, or occupied with a good read. LOL.

After 90 minutes of the bumpy ferry ride, we arrived at our destination - Waterfront Centre, Batam. Strangely enough, the ferry ride seemed to have adjusted our differences in height; Ming Hoe and I were as tall as David.

Upon arrival at Harris, we checked out the resort while waiting for our rooms. We confirmed our spa session and hit the gym.

We checked in at 2pm and received 2 double rooms on the fifth floor of the secluded Trendy wing of Harris. The resort was so empty, it was practically ours to enjoy.

Having settled down, we headed for our first activity - soaking ourselves in the jacuzzi. Jumping from the hot bath into the cold one was orgasmic. The sunset backdrop made the jacuzzi experience even more beautiful. However, the tiny whirlpool bathtub couldn't take all four of us and we had to be packed like sardines in it. Ming Hoe's body mass didn't help a bit.

With wrinkled fingers and toes, we bathed ourselves and headed for a buffet dinner at the Harris Cafe. The chicken soup was to die for, but we suspected it was drugged. Haha. The quality of the rest of the spread was decent, but the company and the sheer quantity of the food more than made up for it. We taught Ming Hoe how to play monopoly deal at the dinner table, and with his beginner's luck, he won a few rounds I think. The evening was concluded with a movie on David's laptop - The Usual Suspects.

Early next morning, we kayaked to Shipwreck Cove and played water polo in the swimming pool afterward. The sun was unforgiving, and it burnt the four of us badly. Ming Hoe and I were especially affected; we felt feverish in the evening. As for lunch, we had two complimentary pizzas, baked in a traditional Italian oven. After lunch, we played pool and went bowling.

The highlight of our trip was the spa experience. David tried it once in Cambodia, while Ming Hoe, Chee Fung and I were virgins. Just for the record, I hated it. If someone's touching my ass, she should be paying me, not the other way around. It was a bone breaking experience, and the scrub nearly killed me because of my sunburn.

On our final day, we fed ducks and played indoor games while waiting for our 4pm ferry.

On our way back to Singapore, we caught a glimpse of our next holiday together. Hehe.

In conclusion, I would like to thank my happy three friends for the trip to Batam. The holiday wouldn't be the same without anyone of them. Here's Chee Fung, who wielded his camera like a nihonto.

And David, our strategist and computer expert.

Finally, Ming Hoe. The good for nothing. xD
