A student from NUS created an uproar when he compared arts degrees to toilet paper. Find out more here.
As for my personal opinion? I'm on the arts camp of course. I jumped ship after completing the science programme at the junior college level, and I have not regretted since. FASS has taught me to express myself for succinctly and accurately. I have also picked up critical thinking skills with the arts faculty too. Some friends laugh at the fact that I need to be taught how to think, but I laugh at how they can miss key assumptions and subtexts in important issues of life.
Wait a minute... Why am I defending the arts camp? I'm going to graduate with a social SCIENCE degree. Haha. Long live the arts faculty.
