Having watched Shaolin, Little Buddha, Kundun and Milarepa in a span of two weeks, I'm kind of overloaded with all things Buddhist. It's interesting to observe how the tension between authenticity and story-telling is played out differently between the films. Not surprisingly, films which opted for more authenticity and less hollywood styled drama didn't do as well at the box office.
Oh well, who gets to define what's authentic anyway? xD
