圆

The above Chinese character has multiple meanings. This entry will revolve around it.

ITEM 1
The character can be used in the term 团圆, which means reunion. My paternal family celebrated Grandpa's 81st birthday yesterday. We had dinner at the restaurant at Jurong Country Club. Ah Kong was visibly happy when he placed his arm around Ah Ma and smiled candidly for the photographs. Here are some pictures I've gotten from Walter Kor Kor's facebook. :D

Celebrating Ah Kong's birthday.

Ah Kong blowing the candles...

He's concentrating hard on cutting the cake...

Look how smug is he! Putting his hand around Ah Ma. And my attention-shy Ah Ma is saying that she's getting giddy... Hahaha.

The couple again. xD

Their sons.

Their daughters.

Their sons-in-law.

Their daughters-in-law.

Their grandchildren...

That's us again. Can you spot the gorgeous?

That's Ah Pek and Ah Mm. The new grannies in the family.

That's Ah Pek & Kael.

The Family & Kael.

ITEM 2.
The character can also be used singularly. 圆 simply means circular or round. Having not met my paternal relatives after a few weeks, all of them described me using the same adjective, exclaiming in unison... Guess which adjective? 圆... Eugene Kor Kor even asked me, "NUS food so good meh?" ^*@$^$^&*@$%$%

Looks like studying has really taken its toll on Project Denniswantstobeabetterstewardofhisbody. Or was it just my t-shirt yesterday? xP
